AGREEMENTS

The cooperation agreement with fishing bodies

Following a consultation process lasting over one year between Ailes Marines, the Fishery and Marine Breeding Committees of Brittany and of the Departments of Côtes-d'Armor and Ille-et-Vilaine, a cooperation agreement was signed on 8 October 2012.

This agreement formalised:

 - The intention to work together throughout the entire life cycle of the offshore wind farm in the Bay of Saint-Brieuc, from the development phase up through the dismantlement

 - The technical options selected for the project (see the tab “An industrial project”)

 - The support measures that Ailes Marines plans to implement, in order to support sustainable fishing projects—for example, funding several campaigns to eradicate slipper shells (an invasive gastropod mollusc), participating in reseeding scallop spats in the Bay of Saint-Brieuc, and funding a pilot study on purging sand from clams.

This agreement also includes a section on compensation during installation and operation.

The cooperation agreement with the sailing committee of the department of Côtes-d'Armor

With the Sailing Committee of the Department of Côtes-d’Armor ("CDV 22") in December 2012, Ailes Marines committed to developing and promoting sailing in the Bay of Saint-Brieuc.

CDV 22 plays a pivotal role in sailing in Côtes-d'Armor. It is the devolved entity of the French Sailing Federation. The Sailing Committee of the Department is an association and aims to develop, coordinate, and promote sailing in the department. It involves 37 clubs, 15,500 members, and 80 annual sports events. CDV 22 may support other activities involving the sea and/or the wind, depending on the projects that are suggested.

Through this partnership, Ailes Marines will support CDV 22 for 10 years by:

- Contributing to the acquisition of Laser one-design sailing boats and replacing boat material (sails, hulls, etc.)

- Partnering with future editions of the races "L'école toutes voiles dehors", "Trophée Prince de Bretagne", "Côtes-d'Armor Tour", and various races that the CDV organises, from 2013.

In 2016, Ailes Marines strengthened this partnership by participating in the supply of the funboard and windsurf boards, and by supporting the organisation of the Breton Cup for Sailing Clubs.
